How it all started
Hi, I’m Mia McGuffin, founder of Green Acre’s Suds. My journey began eight years ago in 4-H, where I proudly showed a variety of animals and projects. Six years ago, after saving up through yard work and dog sitting for neighbors, I bought my very first goats—well, two actually—and that moment sparked something bigger than I ever imagined.
Raising goats taught me more than just animal care; it taught me responsibility, patience, and the joy of working with purpose. As my passion grew, my mom and I started exploring the many uses of goat milk—from cheese to soap—and discovered its incredible benefits for skin. A few years ago, we bred our dairy goats, and once the kids were weaned, we began freezing fresh milk to experiment with soap, lotion, and other bath products.
That hands-on learning turned into a business rooted in agriculture, creativity, and care. Today, every product from Green Acre’s Suds reflects that journey—from barn chores to bath bars—all made with love, goat milk, and a whole lot of heart.
